Squad Lends a helping hammer
|
On
Sunday, November 13, 2005, Arizona Federal's Service
Squad teamed up with volunteers from several other
companies for a Day for Downtown. They helped
to fix up a former drug house taken over by the
U.S. Attorney. Community Housing Partnership got
this house for a low income family.
Two project leaders and
eight volunteers helpded to paint the exterior
walls and a brick fence. They also removed a shrub
and a chain link fence. The Phoenix Police Department
assisted in painting a house number on the curb.
This wonderful opportunity—turning
something destructive into something productive—was
even accomplished ahead of schedule.
Arizona Federal is
a locally-owned, locally-controlled, and locally-operated
federally-chartered credit union managing $1.3
billion in member assets and serving over 186,000
member accounts.
