On
Saturday, January 14, twelve Service Squad volunteers
and two project leaders set out to make a dent
int heir project for the Martin Luther King, Jr.
Day of Service.
The Service Squad partnered
with employees from the City of Phoenix, students
from ASU, the Make a Difference organization and
Carl Hayden High School's student government and
teachers to help improve the Carl Hayden High
School campus.
Many duties needed to
be done, including painting 100 benches all over
the school and cleaning up an alley on campus
that was covered in graffiti and debris.
Overall, everyone felt
it was a great event, and the Dean of the school
was extremely happy with the turnout.
