Squad helps at St. Vincent de Paul
|
The Arizona Federal Service Squad kicked off their monthly volunteer project by spending a Sunday at St. Vincent de Paul serving food to the community’s homeless.Over 20 employees devoted their time to helping others.
One of those volunteers shares her experience:
“This past Sunday at St. Vincent de Paul was a humbling experience because I had no idea that there were that many homeless people in my hometown. Nor did I realize that there are people that depend on St. Vincent de Paul to get 1 meal a day. We served 750 plates and the clients are free to eat as much as they would like from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The majority of the people were extremely grateful and appreciated that we were there."
