Did
you know that there are 27,000 people
that are homeless in Maricopa county
and 9,000 of them are children?
As part of
the Make A Difference annual Serv-A-Thon
on Saturday April 2, 2005, the Arizona
Federal Service Squad donated their
time and effort to help at the Thomas
J. Pappas School for the homeless.
Four project
leaders lead the 40 volunteers to
SWEAT FEST 2005! They spread 100 tons
of gravel, leveled the baseball fields,
painted a fence that was several hundred
feet long and sorted thousands of
cans of food. This project helped
over 600 students by providing them
with a more appealing learning environment.
Arizona
Federal is a locally-owned, locally-controlled,
and locally-operated federally-chartered
credit union managing $1 billion in
member assets and serving over 165,000
member accounts.
