| Phoenix,
Ariz. (September 6, 2005) – Helen and Edward
Price are both handicapped and barely make ends
meet on the $870 a month they receive from Social
Security. But that didn’t stop them from
coming to the aid of others who are in greater
need of help after learning about the devastating
destruction that Hurricane Katrina left in her
path.
As members of Arizona
Federal, they went down to their local branch
and donated $200 to help aid the victims of the
hurricane. Once there, they were thrilled to learn
that they would not only be contributing what
they could, but that Arizona Federal would match
their donation.
Arizona Federal is matching
all funds up to $50,000 donated by their employees
and members to the Red Cross Relief Fund, as well
as donating $10,000 to the National Credit Union
Disaster Relief Fund which will help credit union
employees, volunteers and members in the devastated
areas. Arizona Federal will be donating computer
equipment and employees to credit unions in these
areas as they begin the re-opening process. They
are also reaching out to their employees who have
families in the areas affected by the disaster
and are offering whatever relief they can provide.
