Arizona Federal holds employees to support COPS
Concerns of Police Survivors assists families of slain law enforcement officers
(PHOENIX, AZ) – Arizona Federal Credit Union announced today that the beneficiary of the next corporate “Denim Days” will be COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors), an organization that helps provide support and resources to surviving families of law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
Denim Days is a quarterly community service program sponsored by Arizona Federal on behalf of a worthy cause. Arizona Federal employees are given the opportunity to contribute $10 to a donation fund, and in turn are permitted to wear jeans for the designated “Denim Day”. The monies collected into the donation fund are then given to the charitable organization selected for that particular Denim Day.
"This donation incentive allows Arizona Federal more opportunities to reach organizations that don’t qualify for our allotted annual donation funds,” said Tricia Drexel, Community Services Supervisor. “This emphasizes Arizona Federal’s strong commitment to the community and provides another outlet to serve those in need."
The COPS Denim Day will take place on Tuesday, May 15. All Arizona Federal employees are encouraged to participate.
The announcement of COPS as the beneficiary of the latest Denim Days comes at the heels of National Police Week, which begins each year during the calendar week of May 15.
