Arizona Federal announces ID Theft recovery services for all members

IDSafeChoice coverage will be provided to all members; upgrade available for individuals and families

(PHOENIX, AZ) – Arizona Federal announced today that beginning October 1, it will begin providing identity theft recovery services to all its members at no cost. Under the product IDSafeChoice, all Arizona Federal members will have coverage which includes:

  • Comprehensive identity recovery
  • Personal recovery advocate
  • Expert protection

“While we can’t protect you from stolen mail, lost credit cards or other compromising situations, we can provide assistance in the form of this free credit restoration service,” said Ronald Westad, President & CEO of Arizona Federal.

Under the IDSafeChoice plan, if a member experiences identity theft, an assigned professional advocate will work individually on the member’s behalf to restore their identity and credit.

An upgraded plan is available to members interested in even more protection. IDSafeChoice PLUS expands on the ‘blanket’ coverage by including:

  • Continuous identity monitoring, including alerts for suspicious account activity
  • Annual Experian credit report with credit score
  • Up to $25,000 of reimbursement for lost income / recovery expense – see our website or contact Arizona Federal for details of this
  • Offered for $4.95 per month for an individual, or a family plan of $6.95 per month, which covers enrollee, spouse or domestic partner, and eligible dependents up to age 25

Arizona Federal has recently taken other steps to help assist their members with the growing threat of ID theft. Earlier this year, Arizona Federal began offering SURE Accounts, inspired by the Arizona Attorney General’s Fraud Fighting initiative. SURE Accounts help combat fraud and identity theft.

Arizona Federal is one of the state’s largest credit unions with more than $1.7 billion in assets, 220,000 member accounts and 25 Arizona locations. Arizona Federal focuses on its members by making it easy for them to do business and offering them a wide variety of financial services. Arizona Federal is also dedicated to providing financial education and playing a positive role in the community.
