Arizona Federal has great news! If you are a CU Online user you can now view your pending transactions from the convenience of your home, work or anywhere you have a secure internet connection. A Pending Transaction is one that has been authorized by you through your Visa® Check Card and is signature based, meaning a PIN was not used. It is a pending transaction because the funds were placed on hold until the transaction clears.

This information will assist you with reading and understanding your transaction history.


Display

The pending items will have a date listed as "MEMO." The holds will always show at the top when a member is sorting by date.

The hold will have a release date indicating when the funds will be made available.

Question and Answers

Here is a list of common questions that have been asked regarding pending transactions and holds on accounts.

Q: What type of holds will show up?
A: Initially, the pending transaction will display debit and credit card pending transactions, as well as check holds and ATM holds.

Q: Can I hide the pending transactions to only show my account history?
A: The history can be specified by selecting a specified date range to view. If the date range does not include the date that the hold was placed, the pending transactions will not show up. Unfortunately, there is not a way to perpetually hide all pending transactions.

Q: Why is there only a $1 hold from the gas station?/ Why does the restaurant transaction not show the actual amount of my purchase?
A: Gas stations request an initial hold, and when the transaction clears your account, it will clear for the actual amount of the purchase. This is the same at restaurants, as the initial pending transaction will be for a specified amount, pre-tip, whereas the actual charge could differ.

Q: What is my available balance?
A: The available balance cannot be seen from the Recent Transactions screen, but is displayed on the Account Summary screen.

Q: What do I do if I can see a hold for a particular item that as already cleared my account?
A: We can review these holds on a case by case basis, and may be able to remove the hold, if we verify that the item indeed has cleared your account.
